Why are Orbitz fares sometimes higher than FareCompare?

The calendar shows ‘published’ fares and these fares are not always available for booking. For some shoppers, the price shown in the calendar may not be available when clicking through to Orbitz.  Please email (support-farecompare@mobiata.com) with any questions about fares.

What's the alert threshold?

3) Press the [+] button to add a new alert

Why am I sometimes unable to limit my search to a specific airport code?

If there are other airports in the same vicinity as your specific airport FareCompare groups them all together (eg: DTW becomes part of DTT=Detroit All Airports).  This allows the app to find the lowest fares for someone flying out of an area when there are other airports in the same vicinity.
