User Advocate

We’re reinventing travel one app at a time and we need your help. Our apps have been downloaded millions of times and featured by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Forbes, Washington Post, TechCrunch, USA Today, Macworld, PC Magazine and in Apple TV and print ads. We think it’s because we’re passionate about creating the most beautiful and useful mobile experiences in the world.

Mobiata was acquired by Expedia in 2010, and now we create Expedia’s apps while maintaining Mobiata apps and exploring emerging platforms like IPTV. We’re a startup within Expedia, and we act like one. We’re nimble and creative, and we obsess over our apps and have fun working together. Join us and help define the future of travel.

Mobiata is looking for a star User Advocate who has a passion for making and keeping users delighted by our apps. Our User Advocates help support users via a variety of media (email, Facebook, and Twitter) as well as create clear and helpful web-based technical documentation.

This team member must embody the following:

  • loves interacting with people
  • is an excellent written communicator
  • loves using apps
  • wants to transform frustrated users into Mobiata’s biggest fans
  • wants to reproduce and understand user-reported issues
  • is an excellent advocate for user-requested features and bug fixes
  • has a driving desire to make the user experience as delightful and simple as possible

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in English, Education, Computer Science, or other relevant field
  • experience teaching or writing for instruction
  • experience with Android or iOS devices and apps
  • an interest in contributing to deep product design sessions
