Engineering Manager

We think it’s because we’re passionate about creating the most beautiful and useful mobile experiences in the world.

Mobiata was acquired by Expedia in 2010 and now we create Expedia’s apps while maintaining Mobiata apps and exploring emerging platforms like IPTV. We’re a startup within Expedia and we act like one. We’re nimble and creative, and we obsess over our apps and have fun working together. Join us and help define the future of travel.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Equally passionate about building amazing engineering teams and beautifully designed apps.
• An entrepreneurial engineering manager, passionate about recruiting, motivating, and managing engineers.
• Enthusiastic about mentoring and inspiring both new college graduates and seasoned engineers.
• Excited to improve and install engineering best practices to improve our process, our apps, and the team’s happiness.
• Able to manage complex software project with fast release cycles and many moving parts, both internal and external.
• Able to set, maintain, and meet tight project schedules.
• Not afraid to roll up their sleeves and write code when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping products and managing engineering teams end to end through the entire product life cycle.
• Experience managing engineering teams of 6-20 people, ideally with experience managing managers and building large-scale tech teams.
• Ideally, BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent and experience with iOS or Android.
